Anwar’s luxurious mansion

For a politician who claims, among other things, to fight for the under-privilged and down-trodden, Anwar Ibrahim does not seem to walk the talk.

Despite his earlier declarations that he did not have much money save for the income he received from his lectures and visiting professorship, Anwar IS leading a high-life – a wealthier side, which he had thus far managed to hide from his poor and struggling supporters at the grassroots.

Look at his new house for instance. Located on a hill at the heart of Kuala Lumpur's Segambut Dalam, the sprawling luxurious mansion, which looks quite nondescript (at least within its league) on the outside, reeks of superlatives within its ornate walls.

The RM7 million luxury mansion is built on prime land that cost him another RM10 million. Within this high-security residence, is a luxuriously-appointed interior cooled by no less than 40 air-conditioning units. Heaven knows what for? Is it one of those hi-tech intelligent houses that comes complete with its own AI (Artificial Intelligence) nerve centre? Or is it a palantial abode that also serves as a complete one-stop operations centre for his world-wide operations on behalf of his masters in the U.S. and Europe?

Perhaps, not many know of his luxurious extravagance, but this time around it will be only time before the common folks get wind of it. How will he account for such extravagance on the 'spartan' minister's salary that he had received?
